What is Holistic Nutrition?
Holistic refers to the integration of mind, body, and spirit, which brings balance to the whole body through optimal health in foods, lifestyle choices, and mindfulness. Together we can set goals to achieve optimal health. We will look at the mind-body connection and how well you might be digesting and assimilating the nutrients you intake. We can find motivation, set goals, address expectations, and choose a path of optimal nutrition for longevity and contentment.
Food, being the foundation of holistic nutrition is the base of my assessment. My outlook on health includes nourishing the body with essential micronutrients including vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and optimal intakes of macronutrients, fiber, and hydration through the help of SOUL foods - Seasonal, Organic, Unrefined and Local. I do not diagnose or treat individuals, I provide nutritional information and lifestyle guidelines based on my education.
I stand by the idea of Biochemical Individuality; to look at the individual and create balance, where imbalances exist, that there is no one-size-fits-all meal plan to find this balance but simply that everyone metabolizes differently, and has individual needs to move forward toward finding balance through optimal health.
I believe creating a nourishing environment for the body is vital to achieving all health goals by letting go of stress, loving your body, and experiencing life!
